Stop Sign Policy :
Stop signs may be requested by City officials, individual citizens, business owners, or by
neighborhood associations.
The application form will be submitted to the Public Works Department for consideration.
The Public Works and Police Departments will be jointly responsible for collecting traffic and
engineering data to verify the above criteria are satisfied.
The Public Works Department will generate a report of findings and recommendation,
coordinate that report with the Police Department, and forward it to the City Manager within
30 days following receipt of an application.
Upon approval by the City Manager and the confirmation of availability of funds, the Public
Works Department will schedule the installation of the STOP signs.
